An element of French culture and heritage which has been around for a very long time, the Bal de l'X ("X Ball") has welcomed French and foreign dignitaries, high level members of French administration, and famous figures from the worlds of culture and science since 1879, the beginning of the 3rd Republic of France.The Friends of the Alumni of the Polytechnic University, sponsored by the President of the French Republic, sponsors this evening, which promises to review with charm and grace the past two centuries.
